What is it that separates Christianity from all other religions and world views? Aren't all religions basically variations on a theme? These are questions as readily asked now as they would have been in the context of Roman society within which Paul writes. In that context Paul proclaims that the Gospel is in reality the exact opposite of every other religious view, for it proclaims not what we need to do but what God has already done, and not how we reach for God, but how God is reaching out to us.
